Wooden venetian blinds made to measure in Limerick

Wooden venetian blinds suit Limerick's Georgian townhouses in Newtown Pery best, where tall sash windows deserve a warm, natural finish. Choose basswood, abachi or rustica for living rooms, bedrooms and studies, but keep wood out of bathrooms, the space above the hob and any conservatory, because steam and heat make the slats warp. On a long sash window, 50 mm or 65 mm slats look in proportion and give a clear view when tilted open. Fit them inside the recess if the window reveal is deep enough, so the original architraves stay visible. Mid-oak or walnut tones sit well against red brick interiors, while white keeps a high-ceilinged room bright on a grey Shannon afternoon.
