Wooden venetian blinds made to measure in Waterford

Wooden venetian blinds suit Waterford's living rooms and bedrooms best, especially in the Georgian and Victorian terraces around the city centre and the Mall. Real basswood, abachi or rustica brings warmth to high-ceilinged rooms with tall sash windows. For those deep reveals, choose 50 mm slats: they look proportionate on a tall window and give a clear view over the Suir when tilted open. Fit them inside the recess so the original shutters boxes and architraves stay visible. Keep wood out of the bathroom and away from the hob, because steam warps the slats over time. Warm oak or walnut tones flatter older plasterwork, while a white finish brightens north-facing rooms on grey Irish days. Order made-to-measure from home and request up to ten colour samples first.
